I can’t contain my amazement of my 4 year old Jacinta yelling at her elder sibling that she is no longer a kid, because she got a red gown for her birthday.
What is special about the red gown? I asked. She said James admired her dressing and called her a beautiful lady.
James is a 15 year old boy-next-door.
This became so serious that Jacinta started looking at the mirror most of the time when she was dressed.
I got on the phone one Morning out of some silly curiosity, I discovered even the internet is confused about the definition of who a kid is because of its arbitrariness (More than one meaning).
However, Wikipedia seems to give a satisfactory definition of who a child is.
It says a Child is a Human being between the stages of birth and puberty, or between developmental period of Infancy and puberty.
But, this is where it gets confusing, what is the difference between a kid and a child? Because Wikipedia only explains who a child is and who a kid is.
However, they escaped by saying the word “kid” is a colloquial term for the word “child”
This is now the bone of contention…
